If you search Google for your local company or product who shows up at the top of the search results? I’m not talking about page 2 or page 3, I’m talking about top 3 results, anything lower than that is near worthless in terms of the traffic it generates. For example, if you own a graphic design company in Fort Myers and you search Google for “Fort Myers Graphic Design”, who shows up? If you’re lucky it’s you, most likely it’s one of your competitors. Getting ranked for “cabinets” is harder than getting ranked for “naples cabinets” because one is a national term and the other is a local term. So your price will depend on what you need to rank for.
How long will it take? Again, it depends on your niche and how competitive that niche is. I did SEO for JWP which is a local cabinet company in Naples. One of the keywords they wanted was “cabinets”, I got them to #6 for “cabinets”. They were sitting right there with the big boys like KraftMaid and Merillat. They are back on page 2 now because they haven’t updated or maintained their ranking. If you want to keep your rank you must constantly add new content and links or your page will get stale and Google won’t show you as much love,
