List of fixes for Call of Duty 5

Below is a list of fixes for COD5 World at War (WaW), atleast the widespread problems. If your problem isn’t on the list below I suggjest going to CallofDuty and signing up at their forums and see if you can’t get some help there. The biggest error seems to be with d3dx9_37.dll. So follow the directions and you should be good to go.

Please note that these fixes MAY or MAY NOT work for you. But this is the common way to fix your problem. I’m sorry if it doesn’t help you.

—————————

These are All/Most of the possible Fixes so far. Please note there is no guarantee any of these will work. “please note these can change at any time”
Unfortunately for me NONE of these work for me at all, but are said to work for others.

Nothing worked but the update of Direct X with this 80.3 meg full pgm: directx_aug2008_redist.exe I rebooted after, and all is well. Also, previously updated the NVidia driver, but it did not fix it.

Hi, i have the same problem like you…….
Did you play COD4? I had same problem like now. Solve for COD4: You must change: …\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\miles\mssmp3.asi on mssmp3.bak
But on COD5 you cant use it….

  18. Berkay Says:

Lol, my specs weren’t good enough for CoD4. So no; I haven’t played Cod4.
But I played it on the PS3. That was awesome <3

Uhhmm, i want to play cod5, coz my system requirements are good enough for it!
Why do we got this fking prob :[?!

  19. 8ball Says:

I think you can play COD4/COD5 on “every” computer….. This problem is because we have AMD Athlon XP…. (i think)

  20. Berkay Says:

8ball, i have AMD sempron. Intel is much better for games though ;[!

  22. COD 5 Forum Says:

I love the campaign, think it’s a little better than 4 just because it’s more realistic than 4 n the stories better, ww1 n 2 rocks for a game. Thought the maps online drag a little n sort of bored of them already, possibly because I own but they all seem a bit dark n not a lot of colour change n make it harder to play online n not as enjoyable in my opinion but for the moment as it’s still new, I’ll still play !!!
