About the COD5 World at War gameplay
So I’m not too upset with World at War. I was really expecting a total failure. I can honestly say that, after the full game comes out, it *MAY* actually be just as good as COD4. That’s a pretty big if, but it’s possible.
The gameplay of COD5 has pretty much remained like COD4. The body movement seems to be a little stiffer, perhaps adjusting my mouse sensitivity could fix that. Running also seems a tad bit different. Bunny hopping and going prone when engaging in a close range firefight still works, thank god.
The guns, well the guns are terrible. The guns are, I think, the main reason people didn’t want another WW2 game. At least that’s why I didn’t want another WW2 game, but whatever. I’m already missing the AK47 and 74. Another problem with sniping is the shift key or whatever you use to steady your shot, is changed. I mean it’s still the shift key, except you can’t push shift until AFTER you have already gone into scope mode which sucks. I always hit shift, then go scope mode so that once I get into full scope mode, I’m already steady and ready to fire. This new method of steady is no good in my opinion.
The addition of tanks is pretty cool, it can get annoying though if you’re on the receiving end of the tank fire though. The heli has been replaced with attack dogs which is fine with me. The attack dogs are much easier to kill than the heli plus if you can jump into the water they won’t follow you in.
