New Design + Channels
It’s been a busy month for us here at TM, the result of which you are staring at. We launched our new design today along with channels–a set of subdomains dedicated to specific subjects. There were a lot of people involved in this project, so I’d like to hand out some credit.
I would first like to thank Mark McGrath from Inertia Web Design for all of his hard work. Mark won our design contest by submitting a great looking design, but then went far beyond the call of duty and coded his ass off to help us meet our August 1st deadline. Mark was awesome to work with and he did a fantastic job!
Next I’d like to thank my wife for coming up with the idea for channels. She’s a keeper, eh? I’d also like to thank the other channel authors, Scott Jones, James Carppe, James Elwood and Matt Russell for stepping up and helping me make this a reality.
James Carppe, who is also the main author of the Squible wordpress theme helped me with some last minute coding issues and saved me a bunch of time getting this thing done. If it wasn’t for his help the site wouldn’t have launched for another few days.
Richard Galli, author of “Of Rice and Men” (which looks fantastic by the way) offered up some great free editorial advice for which I have yet to follow–don’t worry Richard, I’m getting to it.
I would also like to thank the authors of Thought Mechanics for always keeping this site going while I’m off coding and managing the site. I truly appreciate your efforts.
