Welcome to the new banana republic…

Filed under: Uncategorized — James Elwood @ 12:43 pm

…Same as the old banana republic.

In uplifting news it appears the current administration has done away with some of the lies and secrecy and decided to declare all citizens potential enemies of the state. A new bill being proposed would subject citizens suspected of activities deemed hostile to the state could be detained and tried before a military tribunal.

U.S. citizens suspected of terror ties might be detained indefinitely and barred from access to civilian courts under legislation proposed by the Bush administration, say legal experts reviewing an early version of the bill.

According to the draft, the military would be allowed to detain all “enemy combatants” until hostilities cease. The bill defines enemy combatants as anyone “engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners who has committed an act that violates the law of war and this statute.” (Yahoo! News)

Next up, drafting legislation that defines any unpatriotic* thoughts as crimes and an act of open hostility against the state.

Jesus boy Mel Gibson arrested for DUI (goes on anti-semitic tirade)

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:22 am

It was probably the alcohol talking, but when Gibson was arrested for DUI yesterday morning, he started going a little crazy.

The report says Gibson told the deputy, “You mother f****r. I’m going to f*** you.” The report also says “Gibson almost continually [sic] threatened me saying he ‘owns Malibu’ and will spend all of his money to ‘get even’ with me.”

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: “F*****g Jews… The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.” Gibson then asked the deputy, “Are you a Jew?”

My only question here is: What would Jesus do?
