Gelaskins iPod Protection
Every so often I get contacted from people who want me to review their product, and most of the time I don’t bother because 9 times out of 10 the product is nothing that I’m interested in. But when I was contacted by Gelaskins (who offered to send me a product sample) I agreed because good iPod protection that’s not bulky doesn’t exist.
Design: 10/10
The Gelaskin designs feature the works of artists worldwide, are top notch and they have plenty to choose from.
Material: 8/10
The skins themselves are made of premium vinyl and feel nice to the touch, although not as easy to the touch as the iPod itself.
Application: 6/10
They are a pain in the ass to put on. It’s like playing operation–you have to have a very steady hand. But they come on and off easily without leaving any stick so you can try multiple times to get it right, like I did.
Over all, I give Gelaskins 8/10. It’s a good alternative for protecting your iPod that ads some pizazz (if you’re into that kind of thing).
