Tool, 10,000 Days Review

My good friend Matt Russell, an audio engineer from Boston, reviewed the new tool CD. Matt and I go back a long time and his opinion is one that I not only respect, but that I depend on time and time again when it comes to studio recording. Matt really took some time and wrote an in-depth review that I found intriguing from beginning to end.

After a five-year wait since the band released Lateralus, I think Tool fans are absolutely going to love this record. The first single is Vicarious and it appears first on the record. Rightfully so. It reminds you as to why you bought a Tool CD in the first place. In two seconds flat, you know it’s Tool and they are doing their thing their own way and knocking you over the head with it.

No surprise there! For me, one of the most important aspect’s of tool are Maynard’s lyrics and this album is no exception.

Like most people who got the album early, I downloaded it from the web because I couldn’t wait until May 2nd. However, I plan on supporting Tool by purchasing the album, I hope others will to.
