Cops: The Parlin Episode
Last night my wife and I were driving home from seeing V for Vendetta when all of a sudden some jackass started swerving and going up on the curb, almost running people over. My wife and I made the safe assumption that the man was likely intoxicated. Being the concerned citizen that I am, I called 911 and that’s when the fun began.
The dispatcher had me follow the guy continuously giving our whereabouts over the phone so that they could intercept us. During what seemed as long as the O.J. chase, we followed in a low speed pursuit of the suspect. It’s absolutely amazing that this guy didn’t kill himself (or anyone else) because he was all over the road. Finally, the cops met up with us and pulled the guy over. I’m not sure why, but there were 5 cruisers–slow night in Manchester, CT perhaps?
They got the guy out of his car and started the ole drunk driver testing routine. They had the guy trying to walk a straight line, touch his nose, the whole nine. He could barely stand, so it didn’t take long for them to cuff him and stuff him. The police took our statement and we were on our way–to fight more crime, HA!
