A Day at Wickham Park

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:31 pm

Today was the best day I’ve had in a while, I started out with a 10 mile ride on my new Bike, then the fam and I went to Wickham Park in East Hartford, CT. The older Jake gets, the more fun it is to do stuff like that with him. I took some cool shots while we were there, feel free to check em out.

As a side note, riding is awesome! I’m really looking forward to losing some pounds and getting in shape. Thankfully, I have some great folks at work who go riding with me everyday and encourage me while we’re out there. I posted some pictures of my new bike on flickr, so have a look.

I’m still trying to come to terms with the idea of wearing bike shorts (i.e. spandex) But I guess that’s par for the course. Just like any hobby, it seems there is always something to purchase. I thought buying a bike and helmet would be the end of it, but that’s not even close to being the case. There’s the bike ($800), helmet ($40), spandex ($89), riding jersey ($55), tools and tool bag ($60) and that was just to get me started. UGH. But I suppose the important thing is that I’m exercising!
